Top 5 Travel and Local Apps on Android in Dominican Republic Q3 2023

The third quarter of 2023 witnessed notable trends among the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in the Dominican Republic. These insights, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveal the weekly performance in terms of downloads and active users for the top five apps: Airbnb, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel, Google Earth, Paso Rápido, and Marriott Bonvoy: Book Hotels.

Airbnb experienced a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting at around 3K at the beginning of the quarter and peaking at approximately 8K by the end of September. Concurrently, weekly active users increased from approximately 54K to around 67K throughout the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel showed a moderate yet steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at roughly 1.5K and ending the quarter just above 1.7K. The app's weekly active users saw a slight rise from around 23K to approximately 24K.

Google Earth had a varied performance in weekly downloads, with a notable peak in mid-September at about 3.7K, compared to its initial weekly download figures of around 1.2K. Active users increased from roughly 12K to approximately 18K in the same period.

Paso Rápido saw its downloads fluctuate, starting with a spike of about 3.2K in mid-July and then stabilizing around 900 downloads per week towards the end of the quarter.

Marriott Bonvoy: Book Hotels exhibited a strong upward trend in weekly downloads, beginning at a modest 61 and reaching nearly 2.4K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users mirrored this growth, starting at around 700 and climbing to nearly 3K.
